Job Description

Arizona Central Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for an experienced real estate lending and compliance person . We are seeking a positive, ambitious, detail oriented individual to join our team! This position is a newer position for ACCU and will be responsible for the administration of the mortgage loan origination software Encompass, reviewing mortgage loan origination documentation and conditions for compliance with regulations, agency and investor guidelines as well as internal real estate programs, policies and procedures.

Summary of Job Functions and Responsibilities: 

The primary duties of this  position entails a combination of technical support for configuring and maintaining lending systems including system project implementation and project planning,  as well as  compliance and procedures.

  • Stay current on all procedural changes; present updates to operational daily function, mortgage procedures and system updates as needed.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and project tasks to keep ACCU in regulatory compliance including procedures and system updates as needed.
  • Create project timelines to ensure all investor, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, CFPB and compliance changes are implemented timely in procedural and system updates as needed.
  • Function as administrator for lending LOS system including being the project point of contact for new system projects and updates.
  • Train team on system procedural changes.
  • Must be able to manage very tight deadlines on a daily basis while maintaining quality work.
  • Review compliance fails on pipeline to ensure files complies with all applicable regulations.
  • Assist Lending department in implementation and rollout of lending systems including add on and updates.
  • Review monthly TENA audit reports; update procedural changes as necessary for any major findings; Review findings monthly with Mortgage Operations Manager.
  • Conduct an audit on 10% of mortgage loan files prior to closing.
  • Assist in special project assignments requested by management.
  • Provide assistance to department, giving general guideline interpretations and answering questions.
  • Prepares compliance reports monthly, quarterly or annually as needed including HMDA reporting.
  • Maintains working knowledge of FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA and HVCC appraisal requirements.


Skills / Requirements

Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, preferably in mortgage quality control, compliance or underwriting with administrative knowledge of the Encompass LOS system.

Education: A 2 year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training program.

Other Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.  Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of personal or sensitive nature.  Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
